Shakhtar Donetsk boss Luis Castro says Inter is a ‘ran riot,’ following the loss in a 5-0 Europa League semi-final.
“Psychologically, we are getting a rough day to cope with,” the coach admitted in his press conference.
“Inter won, we couldn’t perform at our usual level. We had a shot with Marcos Antonio in the first minute, then another one we didn’t make the best of after the break.”
“The Nerazzurri scored only one of two opportunities, but we were unable to respond to their second goal, and Inter ran riot. Our campaign at the Europa League was really successful but this loss will stick with us. What we can do is applaud Inter and look to the future.”
“Something we have to be proud of is reaching the semi-final and we must not forget that journey. We have some of those mistakes to correct and look forward, but we can’t just forget the season before this evening.”
