Last season ‘waiting for Christian Eriksen’ could have lost the Serie A title to the Nerazzurri claimed former Inter defender Beppe Bergomi.
In January 2020, the Dane joined Inter from Tottenham, but according to various reports in Italy, due to a lack of game time, he is set to leave Milan in the winter transfer window.
“Eriksen is a tricky talking point for me. I’ve always thought he is not a champion, he is a good player who is not suitable for Serie A and Antonio Conte’s football”, Bergomi told Sky Sport.
In the final five minutes of the Inter matches against Real Madrid and Bologna last week the Italian tactician subbed him in.
“I don’t want to speak about this, I don’t know the situation. I know Inter have lost time, and maybe even a Serie A title, trying to help Eriksen to settle in. Conte threw in an attacking midfielder and lost something from [Lautaro] Martinez. He stopped after a while and returned to a 3-5-2 system”, Bergomi added.
