Leeds Dominic Matteo who was suffering from brain tumor admitted that he has completely cured of the disease. He had completed recovery for six months after surgery to remove the growth in November.
On Thursday, Matteo took over to Twitter and thanked the workers at Leeds General Infirmary and St James’ Hospital.
The 45-year-old tweeted “I received the phone call yesterday, the one I hoped for … my brain scan is clear. After 6 months of anxiety, suffering, recovery, surgery, and care. I’m safe! It feels incredible!”
Matteo retired in 2007 after previously played for Blackburn and Stoke, he also represented Scotland six times.
