Two weeks before Thibaut Courtois made a statement that it would be unfair to hand over the title to Barcelona, who is currently sitting at top of Primera if the season were to be canceled.
Courtois confirmed in an interview with Television Espanola, “At no point did I say that Real Madrid had to be declared champions. If the league ends, we’re in a better position even if we lost to Betis. If we play the 11 remaining matches then I am confident that my team can win the league.”
following the guidelines put in place by the Spanish Government, Zinedine Zidane squad returned to training on Monday, and Courtois explained how the session went. “We have to wear gloves and a mask, be two meters from each other,” Courtois added. “It’s individual training and we have to disinfect everything. It was strange, different from normal but feeling the grass and being able to train is better than nothing.”
