Inter sealed a 2-1 away win over Parma on Matchday 25 of the Italian Serie A.
After the match Antonio Conte has reflected on the competition in the attack, expressing his satisfaction with the composition of the squad.
“I don’t think it was a bad game for us as we scored two goals and had many chances to increase our lead. Having said that, we know that Parma have always given us problems, they have strong players and a great coach,” said Conte to Sky Sport Italia.
“Parma deserve compliments and I think they have what it takes to save this season. I said Genoa and Parma will be a test of our maturity.”
“Sanchez? He knows that only hard work will take him to a certain level and now Romelu and Lautaro know that Sanchez is right behind them. It’s important for us to create these situations with competition for places. Don’t forget that for a year and a half we had to make do with just Lukaku and Lautaro. Last season we had Sebastiano Esposito, now he’s in Serie B in Venice.”
“I never had a choice. I just had to pray and hope no one got hurt. Now I do have a choice and it’s a great feeling. The players know that I am democratic, I choose who deserves it and they all feel involved.”
