Mbappe to request a contract extension for a PSG superstar. The star of Paris Saint-Germain (PSG), Kylian Mbappe, is said to have pushed the team to extend Sergio Ramos’ contract because he believes the Spaniard is an essential component of the plan.
Ramos’ contract expires this summer after joining the Parisians as a free agent in 2021. There have been rumors that the Parisians won’t extend the four-time UEFA Champions League champion’s contract.
Ramos does, however, have a supporter of Mbappe, according to Eduardo Inda of the Spanish talk show Chiringuito de Jugones, who has requested the team to extend the former Real Madrid player’s tenure.
(According to El Nacional) Inda: “Sergio Ramos is the news’s active topic; Mbappe is its passive subject. They have been urged to make an effort to retain Ramos by PSG’s owner or whomever it is that betrayed Real Madrid.”
Additionally, Inda mentioned that Ramos’ new contract might be for only one year and include a pay cut: “Sergio has been negotiating his extension with the Parisian team for another year. They want his contract cut. I’ve already explained how Luis Campos foresaw a 50% reduction in pay. Because Ramos is one of the few newcomers who has demonstrated dedication to the team, Mbappe has thrown his support behind him.”
As per El Nacional, Mbappe was promised a major say in the club’s incomings and outgoings when he signed a new three-year deal with PSG in May last year, snubbing Real Madrid.
According to El Nacional, when Mbappe chose to sign a new three-year contract with PSG in May of last year, he was guaranteed a significant say in the club’s incomings and outgoings.
According to rumors, Kylian Mbappe will lead Paris into a new age, perhaps without Lionel Messi and Neymar. Ramos, in his opinion, is one of the top players who are dedicated to the team, and he wants to surround himself with them.
Ramos has played in 54 games across all competitions since joining Les Parisiens in 2021, scoring five goals.
Neymar, a PSG attacker, planned to leave this summer:
Neymar, an offensive player for PSG, is ready to leave the team in the summer, according to the French publication Foot Mercato. The player has been the target of the Parisians’ long-running purge.
Recently, Neymar was the target of widespread jeering outside of his Paris house, which may have influenced his choice. The 31-year-old winger is reportedly attracting interest from Saudi Arabia but is willing to stay in Europe.
Manchester United, Chelsea, and Newcastle United of the Premier League are thought to be interested in his talents.
Neymar has played 173 games for PSG in all competitions since his record-breaking €222 million transfer from Barcelona in 2017. During that time, he has tallied 118 goals and 77 assists. In 2025, his contract will be up.
