“The players worked very well at home, and on their return they were seen to be in shape,” said the French expert.
From May 18 clubs were entitled to start training in groups of ten players, the Spanish championship was interrupted in mid-March.
“This week has been very good because we can work more. In small groups, but we can train more tactically, physically, technically. The team looks better this week and we will be even better in the coming days,” Zidane told for Realmadrid TV.
At the time of the break, Real Madrid was two points behind first-placed Barcelona, and there are 11 rounds left until the end of the championship.
“I’m happy to be with my players again, it’s the most important thing after almost 60 days,” Zizou said, adding: “The players want to play, they are focused on what awaits us.
