Team training is supposed to resume on May 18 but there are some minor changes made by the Italian government the FIGC medical protocol.
Yesterday Ministers Vincenzo Spadafora [pictured] and Roberto Speranza issued a joint statement, Football Italia says Serie A clubs will resume the community work next Monday.
“The scientific committee has given its verdict, requested by the Government, on the medical protocol and confirmed the prudent approach taken so far by the ministers,” it read.
“The indications of the committee, which are to be considered stringent and binding, will be transmitted to the Federation for the required adjustments to the protocol so that teams can resume training in safety from May 18.”
The changes are considered to be mere formalities even though they are necessary.
The government will be able to give permission if the changes are implemented.
