This summer Diego Simeone has given the management of his Atletico one task, to Thiago Almada who is a young offensive midfielder of Velez whom the Argentine media call the successor of the great Juan Roman Riquelme, According to AS.
The 19-year-old offensive midfielder has been a member of the cult Argentine club for ten years. Although being young in age he joined his club’s seniors two years ago and almost immediately became a starter and their main player.
In all Almada competitions this season he marked 25 appearances, five goals, and two assists. Presently he is a member of the Argentine U-20 team for which he has played seven games (one hit).
Simone is delighted with the young player, so the management of Atletico sent an official offer of 22 million euros.
