Real Madrid made an offer to Mohamed Salah in 2018, confirmed Former Egyptian Assistant Coach Hany Ramzy.
Liverpool’s winger has always been linked to a move to the Spanish capital and Hector Cuper’s Assistant to the Egyptian National Team has shed some light on the matter.
Ramzy told OnTime Sports, “When I was working with Hector Cuper, we had a training session in Switzerland in March 2018.”
“I was talking to Salah and he told me that Real Madrid had sent him an offer.
“The offer was outstanding, but Salah discussed it with Mr. Cuper and with me and decided to stay with Liverpool because he was comfortable there,” Ramzy said
Liverpool lost to Madrid in the Champions League final, a match that saw him getting injured early due to a memorable clash with Sergio Ramos. The same year Salah was going to be part of the Liverpool side.
After defeating Tottenham Hotspur, a member of the Premier League, in 2019 final, the forward made amendments 12 months later by bringing home the trophy.
