When the season begins on June 21, fans were given entry to the matches, reported the Russian Football Federation.
The federation was authorized by the health authorities in Russia after revealing the severe financial difficulties of several clubs due to the pandemic and resuming without fans would only worsen the situation.
In the first phase that clubs will only be permitted to fill 10 percent of the capacity of the respective stadiums, suggests the report.
The clubs must determine whether to disperse the fans in the stands because this depends on each stadium’s capacity.
Orenburg Gazovik, have only a 7,500-seater for their home games and Zenit St Petersburg has a stadium-size of almost 70,000.
Football will return late June in Russia with supporters in the stands.
