It is contended that Chelsea is on the edge of confirming the paperwork included in RB Leipzig ‘s transfer to Timo Werner.
It was widely noted on Thursday night that the Blues had initiated the release sentence for the player, which was told to be in the £54 m regions.
However, Oliver Mintzlaff, Leipzig ‘s sporting director, refused that there is an agreement with Chelsea that must formally convene the fee required by June 15.
However, a journalist from Sky Sport, proposing no blip in the process, said the Premier League outfit seems to remain in line to sign the 24-year-old, with Fabrizio Romano.
“No contracts exchanged and nothing officially signed as told today by Leipzig’s director, but Chelsea has a ‘verbal agreement’ with Timo Werner and they’re convinced he’s on his way to Stamford Bridge for next season. Paperworks are nearly ready.” said Romano on Twitter”.
Werner has enjoyed an outstanding campaign in the Bundesliga and Champions League, contributing 29 goals and 10 assists.
