During this summer’s transfer window Leicester City would not be able to afford Barcelona attacker Philippe Coutinho admitted Brendan Rodgers.
In search of new pastures Brazil International is generally expected to abandon Camp Nou this summer, which spent the 2019-20 loan campaign in Bayern Munich.
Leicester is among a number of clubs to be credited with an interest in the former Liverpool playmaker.
However, the 27-year-old, who has a deal at Camp Nou until June 2023, is ‘away out of the club’s price range,’ confirmed Foxes boss Rodgers.
Rodgers told the Eamonn and the Gaffers podcast, “I’ve seen lots of speculation around young Phil, I don’t think… Philippe’s a wonderful player, a brilliant talent, but he would be someone who is way out of our price bracket.”
Contributing nine goals and eight assists in 32 competitions, Coutinho has been in fairly good form for Bayern this season.
