On June 4 Primeira Liga will return to the ground confirmed by the league. Owing to the coronavirus pandemic Portugal’s top flight was on pause since March.
Antonio Costa gave a green signal to the league to restart on May 30 behind closed doors but the league announced it would continue playing on later dates.
Liga Portugal announced in a statement that the 25th round of fixtures will take place from June 4.
It says: “Different entities have conducted successive alignment meetings over the past few days so that the recovery can take place safely and with all the protection measures that mitigate the risks of returning to the activity.”
“To ensure that the stadiums are strictly inspected and that medical tests are carried out on all professionals involved in the games and their organization, the date for the first game of the 25th round of the Liga NOS is scheduled for June 4, 2020.”
On June 12 Spain’s La Liga is aiming to return from their suspension.
