It’s confirmed that Luis Muriel needed stitches to his head, after a fall on the edge of a swimming pool, but has no permanent damage and will be available to Atalanta this weekend.
This evening the striker was expected to feature in the Serie A match against Brescia, or even start it.
During a get-together with his teammates, the Colombia international slipped and hit his head on the poolside, according to various sources, including Sky Sport Italia.
Tuttomercatoweb reports that the tests returned negative, and there is no significant head trauma, as Muriel was admitted to hospital and was subjected to tests.
He was left with a bad cut requiring stitches and is clearly out of the match tonight.
However, by the weekend Muriel is suspected to be available for the upcoming Serie A game against Hellas Verona.
The 29-year-old scored 17 goals most of them off the bench, in 29 Series A appearances and is one of their top scorers this term.
