After seeing the England striker score his first 2020 Premier League goal in the 2-0 home victory over struggling West Ham, José Mourinho emphasized out that Harry Kane is “fundamental” to his team of Tottenham.
“I said before of the match that I wouldn’t be shocked if Harry scored.” a pleased Mourinho stated.
“He’s fundamental to the team, so it was really good for Harry tonight and even better for us.”
Tottenham went up to seventh – a point in fifth behind Manchester United, and six in fourth-placed Chelsea’s arrears.
“It was essential to win tonight,” Mourinho said in his press conference.
“This was three points or nothing. I don’t think we could have talked about Europe if we hadn’t won tonight.”
