Leo Messi is back in his ‘garden.’ On Saturday, Argentina forward was back for a special training session at Camp Nou, together with the rest of the first team from Barcelona.
On the home ground in concrete 91 days, it was the first time the players have played in three months. That’s how long it’s been since Real Sociedad beat 1-0 ahead of the lockdown of coronaviruses.
On social media, Messi posted his delight in being able to step back on the Camp Nou turf again with a message. It was an emotional return for him.
“How I missed you,” he wrote, alongside a training photograph of him. “Waiting ahead to play again here.”
However, on Saturday Messi only trained alone as he continues his work on recovery from a muscular injury. The issue won’t stop him from playing against Mallorca next Saturday.
