In the 2010 World Cup final Netherlands’ playing style was wrong so for that Bert van Marwijk flew to Madrid to apologize, claims former Spain boss Vicente del Bosque.
“He felt a little bit. He didn’t agree completely. We had a deep appreciation for the Netherlands and all their typical style.” Del Bosque said in an interview with Goal.
“At the beginning of the season, they did certain stuff in their early moves seeking to ruin our season that wasn’t so good so I’m nobody to scold about.”
“But it’s true that he came to Madrid to visit us for some time in December. He’s such a gentleman, such a nice person. You have to be a special guy to make movements of this kind.”
