Manchester City defender John Stones has emerged as a possible transfer option for former club Everton, according to sources.
At the Etihad Stadium during his four years, England International made 129 appearances. it has been recently claimed that City is willing to accept offers for the 26-year-old.
The Sun reports the Toffees could be open to a reunion with their former star, although in the past Arsenal has been linked to Stones.
When Carlo Ancelotti is looking to improve on the back, club executives hoping to re-sign Stones for less than the £47 m they got back in 2016.
Despite Stones having two years left on his deal, Pep Guardiola could be able to retain him at the club for the next 12 months.
However, having dropped down the pecking order, City would presumably look to cash in on the right-sided center-back to finance a bid for its replacement.
