Jurgen Klopp reportedly told the Liverpool to negotiate a contract this summer for Timo Werner.
The Reds have long been linked with a swoop for RB Leipzig striker, who has accrued a total of 30 goals and 12 assists in all competitions this season.
In the face of financial issues resulting from the coronavirus pandemic, Liverpool had withdrawn its interest in Werner, with the release clause for the striker reportedly set at € 60 million ( £ 52.7 million), indicated the latest news.
According to The Guardian, the manager of Liverpool made it clear that Werner would be a ‘good’ signature, and Klopp is apparently willing to add Germany international to his ranks at Anfield.
Werner is keen on transferring to Merseyside and that until June 15 Liverpool will have to trigger the release clause for the 24-year-old, indicates the article.
