On Sunday Christian Pulsic scored a 2-1 victory at Aston Villa later to that Chelsea’s manager Frank Lampard supported Pulisic’s “hunger” to play a major part in the Blues’ bid for the top four finish in the Premier League.
When Cesar Azpilicueta slammed into the roof of the net, he sent Pulisic in the 55th minute and five minutes later, the United States international dropped.
After returning from injury, since New Year’s Day, Pulisic played his first game and Lampard is optimistic that he’ll be a significant participant in the run-in.
“He’s going to start games for us, of course, and I think he’s going to be a big player for us, not just in this run-in, but going forward,” he said at his press conference.
“The ability he has to get in the box is a big thing, I’ve been talking about it all season with him.”
