To secure the signing of Napoli’ Kalidou Koulibaly Manchester United is avoiding competition from bitter rivals Manchester City and Paris Saint-Germain. Man City and PSG are in the hunt to sign Koulibaly who made 15 Serie A appearances for Napoli, during the injury-hit 2019-20 campaign, according to reports from La Repubblica.
In the last few months, the center-back has been linked to moving to Old Trafford. According to recent reports United has been given the green light to Senegal International for a £74 m move.
Ole Gunnar Solskjaer’s side could face stiff competition for Koulibaly’s signature and Napoli is said to have resigned to losing the 28-year-old when the transfer window reopens.
Koulibaly arrived at Genk in 2014 since then he has scored 10 goals in 233 Italian team appearances in all competitions.
