Inter flew the traps out to defeat Torino 3-1 on Monday night, in the second half, and take third place back in Serie A.
Inter lost early on to a Samir Handanovic howler but for the first 12 minutes scored three times in the restart to break their losing streak.
When Romelu Lukaku stayed home with an injury they unexpectedly benched Milan Skriniar and Christian Eriksen, and Marcelo Brozovic played considering his off-field indiscretions.
There was a Torino side facing them without the suspended Simone Zaza, but it didn’t matter as Handanovic blessed Andrea Belotti with a tap-in, spilling a deep corner uncharacteristically.
The Nerazzurri offered little in the way of response, although Salvatore Sirigu was on hand to turn Brozovic’s scuffed strike around the post and block a snapshot of Lautaro Martinez.
