Marcel Sabitzer, RB Leipzig midfielder, after insisting that he is “open to everything” unlocked the door to a potential transfer to the Premier League.
The Austrian was one of the show’s highlights when Leipzig crushed Tottenham 3-0 in their last-16 second-leg Champions League game on March 10 with the 26-year-old scoring twice in the evening.
Jose Mourinho is willing to sign the player, Sabitzer has spoken about the trade ties and feels it demonstrates that his results were of a high level, suggest press reports.
Sabitzer told Sport Bild, “Football lives on speculation. And when you play successful games abroad, it’s natural that anything like this pops up and there’s curiosity.”
“But right now, I’m only focused on the tasks here. I want to finish the season first of all. This is my main goal. And then we shall see how things are placed.”
“It’s definitely the recognition of your performances, it feels really good, and it is fun right now. That’s why I would like to continue after the games against Tottenham. But I’m going to try to keep going as hard as I can.”
“I’m generally open to everything (regarding Premier League interest), I don’t want to rule out anything, we’ll see.‘’
