Borussia Dortmund’s teenage striker Erling Haaland is the strongest player in the football world now, according to former Italy international striker Christian Vieri.
In the world of football, this season Haaland has become one of the big breakthrough stars scoring easily for Red Bull Salzburg in the Champions League before moving to the Bundesliga in January and maintaining its electric form in Germany.
Vieri sees the 19-year-old as the greatest player in the world, and may also look forward to him have a transfer fee to break the world record of €222 million (£198m/$263 m) set by Neymar’s move from Barcelona to Paris Saint-Germain in 2017.
“Haaland is the greatest of all and has done well to select Borussia Dortmund, the right club to improve his skills. In a few years, he will go to a quality team for €200 m (£175 m), perhaps €300 m (£262 m).” Vieri said in a live interview with Corriere Della Sera on Instagram.
Having spent his career as a striker in the biggest European clubs Vieri is a specialist in attacking talent.
