Xavi was advised to go to Barcelona while Lionel Messi is still performing, by Samuel Eto’o, with the former Cameroon star calling the holder of the six-time Ballon d’Or “God of Football”.
“I told Xavi that whatever happens, he needs to go back to Barca – and I told him he has to do so when there’s still the God of football,” he told Cataluyna Radio.
“He has worked with him and that’s going to make life simpler for him than for anyone else.”
