When Erling Haaland was pulled off with pain during the second half of The Klassiker, Borussia Dortmund’s championship hopes faced another hit against Bayern Munich at the Allianz Stadium.
The Norway star had suffered a knee injury after the match, though he was optimistic and Haaland wouldn’t miss much, revealed Favre.
Favre told a post-match news conference: “I don’t feel like he’s going to be away for a long time. He’s got a knee problem. We don’t know precisely what it is right now.”
After the Red Bull Salzburg move was made in January, with 10 goals in only 12 league appearances the productivity of the youngster in front of the net was crucial to keep BVB’s crown challenge alive.
