Mirror reports Barcelona is keen on Spurs defender Juan Foyth as he is a free agent for this summer transfer.
This season the 22-year-old has only played eight times for Jose Mourinho since the coronavirus postponed the campaign.
He was therefore not included in Premier League or Champions League squads of any of the Tottenham managers.
Next season Foyt wants to play regular first-team games and it is known to be offered to the clubs.
The interest of Barcelona comes with the Spanish giants able to grab Samuel Umtiti or Jean-Clair Todibo. Foyth is seen as a fairly inexpensive alternative if they do so.
He was critically praised by Mauricio Pochettino, who recruited him for only £8million in 2017, for playing right back as well as center back.
Recently, Foyth said he is thinking about his future.
“You just want to feel like a competitor to match and look strong. Not playing either is not easy, “he said. So I don’t know, we’ve got to wait for the transfer window to open now.”
“When I’m going to get chances here, I ’m going to be really happy, because if they don’t rely on me, the next option is to find another club.”
“I’d prefer to live in Europe, there’s a high standard across all leagues.”
“My dream is to compete as long as I can at the highest level. The important thing is to play.”
