Roma was sued for a price of €2.5 m for striker Ezequiel Ponce by Argentina’s Newell’s Old Boys.
Newell’s have been prevented by FIFA from signing new players for the next three transfer windows.
The club argued that it still owed money from many sales and also they appealed the fine, claimed Football Italia.
He went on loan to Granada, Lille, and AEK Athens since he never made a higher appearance at the Olimpico.
Ponce’s move to Roma in the summer of 2015 is one of them when Giallorossi agreed to pay €4.2 m for the 23-year-old.
Roma still owes them €2.5 m as Newell’s are entitled to €3.2 m of the fee, subsequently, the attacker left the Russian Spartak Moscow outfit for €8 m last year.
