Antonio Conte, Former Chelsea manager has confirmed that during his possession at Stamford Bridge, he can’t thank John Terry enough for his professionalism.
Terry found himself limited to a substitute bench for most of the campaign at a time when Chelsea won the Premier League in Conte’s first year at the club.
However, the then veteran was praised by Conte, who he said proved invaluable behind the scenes when he moved from Italy to England.
“It was a great honor for me to be a Chelsea legend coach like John Terry,” Conte said Speaking to Sky Sports News.
“We are talking about a top man, a really good man and then a top player. He helped me a lot in my first season in and out of the pitch. He was significant in the training ground, during the sessions to keep the concentration standards high.”
“I will never be able to thank him enough. He was essential for me and our team.”
