Achim while driving a Lamborghini, shared a social media video criticizing the Bundesliga side. Former Schalke midfielder Max Meyer has distanced himself from remarks made by his father.
Meyer’s dad shared a photo of him cruising around Gelsenkirchen on social media in a supercar he claims the party paid for and appears to have no patience for his son’s old party.
He said: “This will not get any easier, guy. Gelsenkirchen, via the forbidden city. Off to the tax consultant. It’s nice with the paid Lambo from the bankruptcy club. Wonderful.”
However, Meyer junior doesn’t hold the views of his father and posted a photo of him playing for Schalke on Instagram with a note stating he’s upset with his father and always loving his boyhood team.
The 24-year-old wrote: “I’ve just been made aware of my father’s video. I’m profoundly saddened by this picture. It doesn’t fit at this moment, it doesn’t fit in this country, and it doesn’t fit in every moment. I have to thank Schalke very, very much and I’m distancing myself from the video’s nature and material.”
